Dr. Mrs. Cynthia Addoquaye Tagoe is far more than a mentor. She is a God-sent guide; angelic in disposition, profound in wisdom, and unwavering in her commitment to nurturing purpose in others.
She is a woman deeply rooted in the Word of God, whose counsel is marked by clarity, truth and grace. Her guidance does not merely advise; it aligns, it strengthens and it propels her mentees toward the fulfillment of their God-given assignments.
I first encountered her in 2021 during the ISSER Short Course on Research Methodology and Report Writing. She taught with exceptional precision and passion. Her delivery was so compelling that I was immediately drawn to seek her mentorship beyond the classroom.
In her lectures, her core values were evident: discipline, forthrightness and a commitment to excellence. She is candid and principled, she corrects without ambiguity and upholds high standards, always with the intention of raising better professionals and better people.
At the close of the course, I confided in her about a major crossroad in my life; whether to pursue my passion for establishing a children's ministry, now TBL Kids Ministry, or to continue my career in banking.
She listened attentively and patiently, allowing me to fully express myself without interruption. Her response was characteristically sincere and decisive: "Follow your passion." She articulated compelling reasons why I should, and that single moment of counsel became a defining turning point in my journey. To this day, I remain deeply indebted to her for that guidance.
Beyond her words, Dr. Addoquaye Tagoe demonstrated true mentorship through action. She supported the registration of the organisation, graciously accepted to serve as a Director to provide oversight and stability, and has remained consistently present at our anniversaries and key programmes for children. Her generous financial contributions to our annual events have been both significant and sacrificial.
She is a hands-on, intentional and thoroughly supportive mentor. She is very resourceful, insightful, and always presenting ideas, themes, and perspectives that challenge and transform her mentees into more impactful and purposeful individuals.
For your selfless sacrifices, your wealth of knowledge and your unwavering commitment to raising a generation of change-makers, I am profoundly grateful.
